Master Redo

This post is to hold me accountable for getting this project done. It's time to paint our bedroom. I haven't touched it since we moved in last March. It's not bad, just a little boring. The curtains are way too old-fashioned for me.

This is my inspiration piece: a Lulu DK fabric I got on ebay about six months ago. It is barely enough to make two roman shades for the windows. I have some camel-colored curtains from my sister Holly that will hang at the sides.

I bought two gallons of Lava Gray Porter paint for the walls, so now I'm committed.

Friends

My good friend, Mimi, came down from Washington to take her daughter to BYU Soccer Camp.

I met her in Provo and we shopped, ate good food, and hiked the "Y" (picture is from bottom of trail).

Mimi and I met at the Oak Harbor, WA, library right after we moved there in 2000. We found we both taught group fitness (Mimi led killer kickboxing classes!), shared the same religion, and had kids similar ages. She welcomed me into her group of friends and helped make my year in Washington awesome!

Moe

My sister, Annie, had her cute little Moe (Amos) May 2.

Piper adores him. She wants to visit him every day.

Yesterday, Piper told me that Moe would love some chicken nuggets. I said, "Moe can't eat chicken. Moe can eat only one thing. Do you know what that one thing is?"

Piper thought a minute, then answered, "Crystal Light."

Grandma and Annie's Movie Night

Monday night my mom and sister, Annie, hosted a movie night on the lawn.

We made cotton candy and ate popcorn while watching Megamind.

I love living close to family!

Happy Ending: Bigger and Better

Ethan, Dalton, and Carter sold their lawnmower from Bigger and Better through ksl.com for $50!!!

That's $16.66 each. Pretty good for starting out with a Sharpie.
