Today Jason, Ethan, and I ran the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I'd say we were pretty successful all around. Ethan finished in 1:40, Jason in 1:41, and I finished in 1:49.
This is me sprinting to the finish. I thought I could easily pass this guy and then when I caught up to him he started all-out sprinting. I kept up with him, but I threw up a little after I crossed the finish line. Gross, I know, but I did make it away from the crowd before I lost it!
This was Ethan's first real race, and he got FIRST PLACE in his age group (about 10 boys).
And it didn't end there. Ethan won the drawing for this little balance bike! It's perfect for Piper. Ethan really was the hero of the day. We are PROUD!

That is so awesome, way to go Ethan, Jason and Erin! You are my hero! I don't think I could do a half! It was Ethan's day I guess! Yeah for Ethan!

You 3 are aMAYSing! (ha, ha) It was so great to see you and visit for a minute. Your times are incredible!!! And, way to go Ethan! I can't even imagine keeping up with any of you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of you, but especially to Ethan, or whoever that young man is standing by you. Wow! I can't believe he has grown so much. In just a year and a half, everyone grows up. It's amazing. Way to go, you three. That's awesome.
